BUMC MEDLINE Plus/OVID Full Text Journals
BUMC MEDLINE Plus/Ovid contains over 2000 full text journals in two collections: "OVID Full Text" and "Open Links."
The library subscribes to OVID's Full Text collection, which make available the full text of 100 core, clinical biomedical journals. OVID's Full Text collection includes the complete journal article, and all graphics, tables, figures and photographs. Every word of the text is searchable, including references and graphics captions. Within the Full Text display, hypertext features allow users to display an outline of the document and move immediately to a selected section, to display complete references cited within the text of a document, and to link directly to MEDLINE and other full text documents. Other features include the ability to identify journal titles by subject or whether the article contains illustrations or graphics.
Also available is the Open Links option, which includes links to the full text of more than 2000 journals directly from the publishers' Web sites.
A complete list of "Full Text" and "Open Links" titles is available on the Web at http://www.medlib.bu.edu/ejournals/.
- Enter any database and complete your search.
- Then, use the view sets or display command to view the citations. At the end of citations for which full text is available online, you will see either the "Full Text" or the "Open Links" options. Click on the link to view the complete journal article.
